Find out what happened at the Corporandy's estate during the month of February 2022.
There was two majors events during February for the Corporandy's vineyard:
On February 10, 2022, the first Opus 25 amphora arrived in Bordeaux. Before sunrise, the transporter arrived at the Corporandy estate in Tauriac, with a 2950kg amphora from Italy. Elie and Muriel Corporandy, after a trip to Tuscany where they were able to taste the wines of this Italian region, wish to create wines that are close to Tuscan wines using this amphora.
There are 4 major advantages to using an amphora:
- A constant oxygenation of the wine thanks to the terracotta which is a porous material.
- The use of an amphora allows for the rounding of tannins, which results in softer wines.
- A constant temperature even during seasonal changes.
The major advantage of an amphora maturation is to be able to keep the aromas of the wine. Unlike barrel aging, an amphora does not give the wine any taste.
From February 14th to 16th was held Wine Paris, we thank all those we met during this event for coming to see us. We are happy to have been able to participate in this event which allowed us to acquire new contacts to export our wines internationally.
